KIKI AND PEACHES TRY - ZUMBA

Hola, muchachas!

We're not gonna lie, post-holiday has been rough. How can it not be?

The food, the snacks, the holiday drinks, and those charcuterie boards have no boundaries.

And how rude would it be to deny your host/hostess the joy of watching you eat what they've spent so much time slaving over.

That would just be rude.

But there's always a price to pay for a really good charcuterie board.

So now what.

We wondered aloud what we could possibly do to rid our bodies of some of the trans fats we acquired over the holiday food blitz, and stumbled on a complimentary Zumba class.

And who hasn't heard of Zumba?

Just the name itself is appealing.

Especially if you repeat it a few times.

Zumba... Zumba... Zumba.....

And believe it or not, in all these years of Zumba existence, we've never been to a class. Till now.

Think about your last jazzercise class — only here you gyrate to great Latin music with lyrics you might not understand, but who cares, when you know they're being sung by handsome Latin men with really tight pants, and gorgeous Latina women who look like they've done a lot of Zumba.

We signed up for the complimentary Zumba class (because Kiki and Peaches are into free) and let our hips do the talking.

From cha cha to rhumba, merengue to salsa, Zumba incorporates Latin dance steps into a full 60-minute aerobic workout.

And we were beat at the end of it. But it might be worth another try.

The music makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean. Except you're not.

Too bad we don’t have drive-through piña colada stands in the neighborhood for post-workout refreshment.

Rating: Kiki and Peaches give Zumba a solid four out of five loud maracas.

Give it a try, chicas!

And if you've been to a Zumba class in the past?

Give it another try!
